Our client is committed in sourcing the very best robotics engineer for their Tier1 automotive business.


They are looking for an individual who is ready to put their passion, skills and experience into their business. Providing them with clear direction into not only improvements but to be hands on and committed to the maintenance of the robotics on the paint production line.


Key Responsibilities:

Development of new robot painting programmes within the business

Ensure all safety procedures, methods, equipment and practices are adhered to including housekeeping

Integration of Plant utilisation commissioning

Contribute to regular continuous improvement meetings.

Ensure adherence to paint colour measurement system and controls.

Develop, control & measure process parameters.

Management of new product programs in line with customer demand.

Interface for Engineering of new product development.

Development of path programming/application processes.

Deliver Technical solutions to process problems.

Support improvement activities in the Paint line.

Utilisation and product quality in your area.

Liaise with other departments for maintenance, production or process.

Prepare detailed reports or figures and deliver KPI measurable as required.

Support Business growth opportunities.

Customer focused in delivery of product.

Assist in commercial feasibility during quotation.

Cycle time optimisation.

Propose, plan and manage continuous improvement activities with process teams.

Audit current methods of paint delivery, investigate source and propose improvements.

Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your manager in line with department/company objectives.

To reduce the overall cost of the manufacturing operation year on year.

To reduce levels of paint wastage in colour changeovers.

Utilising performance data to direct improvement focus (OEE Improvement).

Carry out continuous improvement and profit improvement reporting.

Daily checks on yield matrix. Initiate and advise teams to counter act negative trends if and when they occur .

Recommend improvements to meet the overall business standards for processes and systems, constantly strive to be pro-active and for continual improvement.

Provide Training and advice to process teams within the group.

Ensure improvements are sustainable.

Self-motivation to achieve tasks and targets as required.

Work within the process teams or individually on allocated projects / tasks.

Understand the importance of your commitment to the department and continually strive to achieve an excellent working relationship as a supportive team member.

Expected to be professional in your attitude to the job and in the manner with which you conduct your duties. Always present a professional image when communicating internally and externally.

Ensure that you understand and comply with Health & Safety at Work regulations at all times.

Drive and support the requirements to up hold accreditations - TS16949 and ISO14001.
